Soul Rafter - Cheoah River
The Cheoah river is a schedule release prize that southeastern boaters flock to. For over 77 years, this section of the river was dewatered, and unrunnable. In 2005 however, scheduled releases were secured and once again the Cheoah came into play. There are too many rapids to show in one video, but the first 6 miles are class III/IV fun. In this episode we showcase the final 2 miles with class IV's like Bear Creek Falls and Yard Sale rapid. Big thanks to everyone who helped us run this river and showed us down.
This is the Sixteenth episode of Soul Rafter's 18 rivers in 2018 series where Rafting Magazine Ambassador Nick Prete attempts to paddle 18 new rivers in 2018.
We also want to Say a huge thank you to Bethany Blitz for the photo contribution, check out her work on Instagram.
