Below are the “official rules” for the “Outdoor Cooking Contest”.

Methods of entry: Contestants are not required to subscribe to Rafting Magazine nor are they required to submit a recipe and can enter by clicking here and providing your email. This information will be used solely as a giveaway entry and for no other purposes beyond communication should you be selected as the winner. Subscribers to Rafting Magazine are automatically entered to win as well as any participants who opt in to subscribe to Rafting Magazine.

For submitted recipes

Recipes may be for judging. Multiple submissions are welcome, but a prize will only be eligible once per person. A winner will be allowed to pick one item from the prize pool. Judges will select the top recipes based on several factors including:

  • Uniqueness

  • Creativity

  • Ease of preparation

  • Flavor and presentation

Each category shall be given a 1-5 rating by each judge and points will be tallied at the end. The highest points will be the winner in each category. The following categories shall be eligible for prizes and allowed to pick from the pool.

  • Dinner - Best dinner get’s the first pick from the pool

  • 2nd Best Dinner - Second pick from the pool

  • Breakfast or Lunch - 3rd pick from the pool

  • Dessert - 4th pick from the pool

Following the top 4 a random winner shall be selected from email submissions including email and no purchase submissions. following that prizes shall be assigned to the next highest points winners until no prizes are left in the pool.

Prizes may not be substituted for cash and have no cash value.

Sweepstakes begins 7am PST May 31, 2023 and Ends at 12:01 am June 8, 2023. Winner will be selected and announced by August 2, 2023 via social media and email.

Sweepstakes open to US residents aged 18 and up from the contiguous US States only.

Winner will be notified via email or Instagram Direct Message and will have 24 hours from the date of selection to claim the prize or another winner will be selected.

Winner may be selected at random via random number generator. Odds of winning are relative to the number of entrants into the sweepstakes.

By entering this sweepstakes, winner will hold Rafting Magazine harmless for any and all claims arising from the collection or use of the prize. Winner acknowledges that, should they use any of the products contained within the prize, they hold the proper training and understanding of the product to use said products. Winner further acknowledges that they waive any claims against Rafting Magazine or the sweepstakes cosponsors arising out of use, improper use, or negligence while using the product. Winner further acknowledges that use of the product as well as participation in the sweepstakes is voluntary and entrance into the sweepstakes may be done without consideration.

Recipe Contest Terms of Use

By submitting a recipe to the rafting magazine you hereby agree that, as a “Contributor” you have voluntarily submitted intellectual property (herein referred to as “Content”) and grant to Rafting Magazine (The company, its officers, directors, legal representatives, and assigns here in referred to as: “Company”), the following license (“License”):

  1. The irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish written copy, intellectual property, images and likeness of the contributor, and photographs or videos of the Contributor ; in which may be included for editorial, trade, advertising, and any other purpose and in any manner and medium, without compensation.

  2. You warrant that you have ownership over submitted intellectual property or you are hold a license to reproduce the submitted content according to the terms of this agreement.

  3. Contributor grants the Company the right to alter and composite any item listed in item 1 above without restriction and without the Contributor’s inspection or approval.

  4. The Contributor does hereby release the Company from all claims and liability relating to the License, its terms, content, copy, intellectual property, photographs or videos submitted by the Contributor.

This agreement supersedes and replaces any and all previous agreements with the Company. This agreement shall become effective on the date of submission (the "Effective Date"). Contributor may revoke this agreement at any time by providing the Company notice of revocation in writing, signed and dated by Contributor (the “Revocation Date”); however, revocation of this agreement shall have no bearing on the license granted to Content created prior to the Revocation Date. In regards to all Content created prior to the Revocation Date, the License shall continue, in effect, in perpetuity.
